Wasps, Bald Faced Hornets, and Yellow Jackets
These are all members of the wasp family and will sting if aggravated. They live in colonies and can be very harmful to those who are allergic to their stings. These wasps are unpleasant and inconvenient if they make a hive near your business or living space. Our professional pest control options include manual control methods to remove the wasps with vacuums to be taken away alive. If that does not work, we use a minimally toxic product to effectively remove the wasps or hives from the area.
Mice can be the toughest rodents to control in any setting, and often carry a range of diseases that could make you sick. Fleck Pest Management’s professional mice prevention and removal services include properly patching the spaces they are entering, traps, and repellant. We make sure to thoroughly inspect your home or business before and after the removal of mice to prevent future infestations and save you money in the long run.
Cluster flies are large, dark flies that tend to come together in large quantities and infest homes simply for warmth. They actually do not bite, but they are tough to control. Our management equipment for cluster flies include mini vacuums (if they appear sluggish) to suck them up, UV light traps to attract them for removal, and pet- and earth-friendly aerosol sprays.
Carpenter ants are large ants that prefer damp, old wood found in homes and other buildings. They build nests and live in these spaces, which can create significantly negative living or working conditions. These ants feed off of human food, meat, and other insects. A typical sign you are experiencing an infestation of carpenter ants is a trail or colony of ants out in the open, probably foraging for food. Fleck Pest Management is equipped to locate the ants’ nest, take it out, or treat it with a specialized chemical to remove all traces.
Asiatic Garden Beetles (Ladybugs)
These beetles and ladybugs come out during the night, and will munch on plants because they are considered lawn insects. If they begin an infestation at your home or business, they could ruin gardens, landscaping, flowers, vegetable plants, and other greenery you have growing in the area. These beetles thrive in moisture, and taking away the water source may help in keeping these pests from forming an infestation.
Carpenter bees can damage property by “excavating” dry, unpainted, or weathered wood around the home or business. They will dig and carve out areas of the surface, resulting in unsightly blemishes or holes. While they do not sting, they can be menacing and appear to attack humans because they are often territorial when it comes to their personal territory. Fleck’s management method is to spray insecticide on the carpenter bees’ holes in the wood, and leaving it for a few days to gather on the bees who return to the spot. We also have an aerosol spray option. As a preventative measure, we recommend you add a clear coat of polyurethane or even paint to exposed wood surfaces.
Drain flies feed on organic matter and sewage often found near drains of bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. They mostly infest and occupy on your walls, and can be controlled by removing the breeding site. To control these pests, your drains must be professionally cleaned out of all material and buildup. We will clear these for you, as well as remove drain flies from your property.
Fleas draw blood and often get into your home or business through animals such as dogs, cats, squirrels, mice, and other domesticated or wild animals. Adult fleas are more likely to be spotted, which is a strong indication that you are experiencing an infestation. You can see these jumping around in carpeting, furniture, floor grooves, and your pet’s bedding. Your pet may be excessively scratching and grooming as well. Our pest professionals are available to treat your environment with chemical and physical methods to get rid of itchy, unpleasant fleas.
Spiders are often found in dark spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and other damp areas of buildings. However, they may venture out into the rest of your home or business and cause quite a scare. These are some of the more terrifying pests and create messy cobwebs, plant destruction, and unpleasant encounters. The professionals at Fleck Pest Management are available to inspect and develop a plan to control and remove spiders from your property altogether.
